Transferable skills are practical and career-oriented skills (e.g., communication and problem-solving skills) that enhance scholarly development and help young researchers work more effectively in diverse work environments. Transferable skills are critical to a graduate student's success in a competitive research environment.

We offer selected transferable skills courses with a focus on fostering personal and scholarly development.

Personal development courses include intercultural training, conflict management, communication skills, job application training, and a German language course to adapt to the new environment.

Courses for scientific development include Advanced Scientific Methods, Statistical Methods, Project Management, and Research Grant Proposal Writing.
